A LITTLE HISTORY:
In 2002 began a creative journey of the mud man, from his conceptual beginnings in Whisby Nature Park Lincoln, to becoming the star of numerous school and community creative projects, birthday parties and has been exhibited nationally in sculpture gardens.
They come in various sizes, the smaller sizes using simple armatures, the larger is built using an armature of woven willow, like wattle and daub building techniques.
Giving the mud man a history impelled the decision to write. I became author, illustrator and publisher of a Muddy products book ‘bug-a-lugs’. The story begins with the mythological story of the Lincoln imp (from the Lincoln Cathedral,) it tells of social differences, prejuces and building trust and friendships.
